We offer you a “Late Type II: Remington UMC Model 51 .32 ACP Semi Automatic Pistol Manufactured in 1925.
This model 51 pistol wears the serial number of 67901 which would make it a 1925 manufactured pistol, verified by the date code on the trigger guard of “DS” which means it was manufactured in November of 1925. Which makes it a late “Type II” pistol with the barrel marking of “32 CAL / 7.65 MM”. It is estimated there were around 2,400 .32 ACP pistols manufactured by Remington in 1925. The markings are PA 67901; “PA” for Pedersen Automatic. The top of the slide legend is the late type ““REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. ILION WKS. N.Y. U.S.A. PEDERSEN PATENT/PAT’D. MAR.9 20, AUG.3 20, OCT.12 20, JUNE 14 21 OTHERS PENDING.” The slide has fifteen - 15 vertical serrations with the “Remington / Trade Mark” frame marking. The magazine is original and in very fine condition marked 32 CAL. The original bluing is in fine condition and shows surface marks and light scattered freckling which shows the most on the right side. The grips are in very fine condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The bore is in fine condition with light pitting and the pistol hand functions just fine. These guns feature three safeties: a thumb-operated safety, a grip safety, and a magazine safety.
