***SOLD*** Very rare Pre War 375 Magnum (375 H&H) Super Grade with straight taper barrel and 4 digit S/N. S/N 4897 with matching bolt made in 1937. This awesome rifle has seen some undeniable use over it's 85 years and I'm sure would have some exciting stories to tell, yet it remains 100% original, undrilled, and uncracked! I would rate the overall condition about 85%. The rear receiver bridge remains undrilled. The bore is excellent and the mechanical functions are flawless. There is a factory inletted and installed full block Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight which has all matching inner component numbers. This is the correct and rare early peep sight for this era with the thimble shaped knobs. There is a Lyman 12S filler in the barrel dovetail. All Super Grade components are present and correct. Factory solid red recoil pad as issued on all 375s has bulge at heel and some wear but remains soft. Not perfect, but a good solid rifle that is extremely difficult to find. It could serve as a respectable placeholder at a condition reduced price until a minty one comes along...if ever.
