Goens 25-06 Classic Custom Stocked Pre-64 Winchester Model 70, The action was made in 1957, 24" barrel without open sights, Buehler 2 piece scope bases and rings, Bausch & Lomb 6 x 24 with an adjustable objective lens and a duplex reticle, Canjar trigger, Original Model 70 floorplate, Two panel teardrop bolt knob checkering, Jeweled bolt and follower, Built-up and checkered bolt stop release, A nice piece of Claro Walnut with nice color and contrast, Classic Goens full wrap around fleur-de-lis checkering, Niedner checkered steel grip cap, Sling eyes on the stock, Rosewood forend tip, Classic Goens shadowline cheekpiece, Excellent inletting, 13 5/8" LOP over a 3/4" pad, It will go 13 15/16" LOP with a 1" pad installed, 9 lbs. 3 oz. with the Bausch & Lomb scope, The bore is excellent plus and it appears to me to be a Shilen barrel, Overall the gun remains in 96% condition both on the metal and wood since it left Goens talented hands. Here is a pure American classic custom rifle from a well-known custom stocker in the 1970's.
