For your consideration is a April/May 1943 production Colt 1911A1 SN# 933110
Fresh from a Chicago estate!
This gun features early Checkered Colt Small Parts including the slide stop and Mainspring Housing. Colt wide Spur Hammer. Original Colt .45 Auto marked barrel with "F" forward of the lugs. Bore is bright and shiny with deep rifling. Overall Original parkerized finsih is very thick and rates 97-98%. You can really tell how much a pistol has been handled by looking at the grip strap. This one is flawless!
Wear patterns on barrel and frame are a match. This pistol has been together its whole life no doubt. This pistol is also one of the closest SRS hits I've ever had, being right in the middle of USN and USMC shipments.
You won't find one nicer at the price.
