Beretta \"Select Grade\" 85BB .380acp semi-auto pistol that’s in excellent overall condition. These Italian Finance Ministry trade-in pistols are in mechanically excellent condition, with examples showing very light wear from handling or storage. The pictures shown are a random selection of our inventory. We inspect and individually grade all of these and our impression of this batch of pistols is that they’re all in overall better shape than average police trade-ins.
The Beretta model 85BB is part of the “Cheetah” line of blowback, double action pistols with a lineage that includes the 84 series (double stack .380), the 85 (single stack .380) and the 87 (22LR). These are 85-BB’s, which designate them as single stack pistols that feature an 8rd magazine, two of which are included with your purchase. The “BB” designation means that in addition to the standard ambidextrous (non-de-cocking) safeties, it also has longer slide serrations and higher profile sights than earlier versions. Weighing in at approximately 22-ounces (empty) and featuring the slim profile allowed by its single stack magazine, the 85BB is an excellent choice for CCW. Beretta Cheetah’s are extremely high-quality, and reliable handguns and these Italian Finance Ministry trade-ins in particular represent one of the best values on the market today
This batch was imported by Beretta USA and carry their import mark on the right side of the slide. Also marked on the right side is “G.F.” which identify these as once belonging to the Italian Guardia di Finanza, literally “Finance Police”, which is the Italian state police agency which fills the role of Customs and Border Protection, as well as DEA and drug interdiction (with over 600 boats and 100 aircraft in service). These pistols rode on the hips of Italy’s finest investigators and enforcement agents, tracing lineage back to the 1700’s.
The pistol includes two 8 round magazines, and were packaged and labeled by Beretta USA, and come in the boxes shown. For these items have been previously hand-graded by us, which means that we can’t accommodate cherry picking, and won’t accept returns based on aesthetics, except under extenuating circumstance on a case-by-case basis.
