Winchester – 1885 – High Wall – 40-65 - Stk #C308
This is a Winchester high wall falling block rifling chambered for 40-65. The 31” blued Ron Long barrel has a 1-¼” straight octagonal to round profile and is in excellent condition. There are few scattered hairline scratches in the otherwise undamaged finish. The bore is in excellent condition with sharp, undamaged rifling. A dovetail is cut for a front sight, along with two scope blocks mounted to the rear octagon portion of the barrel. The color case hardened receiver is in excellent condition. The hammer and lever are also color case hardened. This rifle has a single trigger. The P+++ hand checkered walnut forend and buttstock are in very good condition with the exception of several scattered light scratches and handling marks throughout. The buttstock has a raised cheek rest, and a metal checkered buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 48-1/4”, and weight is 10.8 lbs. Our stock number is #C308.
