Description:
Manufactured in the late 1970's/early 1980's, this .410 Winchester Model 101 Pigeon Grade is in fantastic condition and appears to have been fired and carried very little. This classy and handsome Model 101 Pigeon Grade features 28" ventilated rib barrels (Choked Skeet/Skeet), a gloss blue factory finish on barrels, a factory engraved receiver, a checkered American Walnut stock set, a single-selectable trigger, and automatic ejectors. The original gloss-bluing on the barrels is in excellent condition with slight wear marks near the muzzle and a very small amount of once-removed surface rust near the muzzle. The engraved receiver is in equally as excellent condition with the exception of some various very light handling marks along the bottom.. The checkered stock and forend retain their original gloss finish and show no signs of the finish cracking/peeling. The forend is in superb condition with the exception of some various minor handling marks and one small dent at the front of the forend. The buttstock is also in excellent condition with the exception of some light handling marks and a handful of very shallow dings/dents. The checkered panels on both the forend and wrist are still sharp with extremely minimal wear. The original butt plate is in good condition minus various scratches and one larger ding on the upper left hand side. The single-selectable trigger retains 99% of its original finish and the checkering on the face is still excellent. The bore and chambers of both barrels are in excellent condition, showing no pitting or visible damage of any kind. The breech face of the receiver is like-new and shows no mechanical wear or damage. All of the mechanical aspects of this shotgun function 100% like-new, including the automatic ejectors, the safety/barrel selector, and the trigger. This Winchester Model 101 locks up extremely tight and "on-face", and has no hinge play or wobble whatsoever. This Winchester should give many more decades of trouble-free service to the new owner. This Pigeon Grade Model 101 comes complete with a Winchester luggage case which is in great condition, minus some small tearing/sractches on an outside corner. If you have been looking for a classy and well-made .410 over and under shotgun that you can carry with pride to any skeet field, dove hunt, or quail plantation, this vintage Model 101 Pigeon Grade would be an excellent choice.
