****SOLD**** Here we have an honest 1941 Winchester Model 12 pump shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. The Model 1912 (or as it is more commonly known-- 'Model 12') was Winchester's first slide-action hammerless shotgun. It was designed by T. C. Johnson, utilizing a strong frame and a hidden hammer. The chamber was made longer for the 2-3/4 inch shells in 1927, then later for 3 inch shells. The model 12 is a truly iconic pump shotgun. This particular example has been modified with a Polychoke variable choke at the muzzle of the 28 inch barrel. This gun has a 2 3/4 inch chamber and a very nice bore. The metal has some high edge wear and a few scrapes on the left side of the receiver at the front. The wood has a few dents and dings but no cracks or chips. The original butt plate has faded some over time but is intact with no fractures. Overall this shotgun is in very good condition with a very smooth and tight action. This beautiful Model 12 with the retro cool Polychoke would make quite a statement in the dove fields or just to collect and have....
