NEW JONATHAN BROWNING MOUNTAIN RIFLE .54 CALIBER- UNFIRED
I purchased this rifle circa 1980 to ad to my black powder collection. i put it on display and it was never fired.
Considered very high quality these American made rifles were manufactured in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Single set trigger, walnut stock with cheek piece, buckhorn rear sight adjustable for elevation with both rear sight and blade front sight drift adjustable for windage. The 30" octagon barrel has a heavy, deep crown for ease of loading either a patched round ball or a bullet. the bolster containing the nipple has the distinctive "full curl" sheep horn design.
