PRE-WAR HOLLAND & HOLLAND .240 APEX, TAKE APART MODEL
purchased in Africa in 1977, from the original owners family. Rifle shows very little signs of wear or age.This is a spectacular example of a beautiful Holland and Holland hunting rifle. Designed to be disassembled with a coin in order to fit in a custome carry box. Please review photos carefully.
The little .240 Apex was the food rifle on safari. Ample for all of the plains game and a pleasure to shoot. Broken down it traveled easily. Color case accents are bright. Folding ffront sight protection, leaf rear sight, storage grip cap, butt is plastic. Quick release scope mounts with a Voigtlander braunschweis 4 1/2x scope. (scope was purchased off of another rifle). Barrel 22", LOP 13 1/4, Weight 7.8 lbs. Personal medallion has never been engraved. I used the rifle in Africa for small game and loved it. Returned home and put on the rack, never fired again.
