A guaranteed original, one of a kind,important historical,Civil War Naval and Military War room map, by famous map maker j. Calvin Smith. This is a 1860 map of the United States and sourounding coastal / oceanic topo. The only one known to exist. This map measures "70 x 70". Amazing detail, including 1860 census detail, including Slave and freed colored population by state..... The "Antique Road Show" featured a similar map, but not a historical military map. See the last picture of that map with estimation. The liabrary of congress has another later dated map........not nearly as significant as this map is ..... house or institutional inquiries welcome.....Information from anyone is appreatiated.
