The Varmint Precision Trainer was developed as a trainer to a full-sized centerfire rifle but for more economical shooting. The VPT gets a boost of accuracy due to the barrel from the Match Target Rifle(MTR) with a match chamber, rigid heavy profile and is suppressor ready.
A Manners carbon fiber stock allows for a solid platform to the VPT and features an adjustable cheekpiece and a recessed, drilled and threaded forend for an Arca rail. The stock uses multiple layers of carbon fiber and fiberglass laid in high temperature epoxies then vacuum sealed and cured.
The new 457 series now feature a push safety, adjustable trigger and 60 degree bolt rotation, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower rings. The stamped bottom metal is now replaced with a classy 2-piece interlocking system. Additionally the 457 series utilizes the same swappable barrel system and magazines from the 455.
