Rare Mexican Military Academy Short Sword for cadets in good condition. The Medallion on the crossguard is marked""Academia Militarizada Mexico D.F. Tacubaya. The Seal of Mexico with eagle killing a snake.Below on the fitting for the throat is an oval medallion of a shield with crossed cannons and lighting bolts.The sword is secured to the scabbard with a button catch to secure the crossguard to the throat fitting.The scabbard has some creasing to the black leather. But no breakage.The grip is a white cast material held to the hilt by double strand brass wire.The pommel is cast in the figure of a Lion or Jaguar.
