Description:
This is a very nice example of a Mauser Banner Luger issued to the Nazi police force in 1940. It is all matching, has the proper police "Eagle L" proof on the right side of the slide (the "L" is faint), and has an installed police sear safety. It comes as a rig with a 1939-dated police holster, one period-correct mismatched police numbered magazine, and one original matching-numbered police magazine. The markings on the holster are very faint, and there is a small stitched repair on the back. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its original finish. Minor thinning and very light brown patina on both grip straps. Areas of minor wear on the side plate, side rails, around the muzzle, and on the chamber. Light spotty wear here and there along the barrel. Comes with un-numbered but "Eagle 655" proofed wood grips. The bore has strong rifling with very light freckling throughout.
