Description:
We are in possession of an extremely rare and important piece of history. The rifle we are presenting was the personal property of WWI hero Alvin C. York! The rifle is a Springfield model 1903 and has survived in outstanding condition. Our claim is solidified by a notarized document signed and verified by Mr. York’s son Andrew York. The document was prepared by Notary Bailey C. Daniels of Fentress County in Jamestown Tennessee and records Springfield model 1903, serial number 1325945 as being the personal property of Alvin C. York.  According to Andrew York (Alvin’s son), this was his “utility” gun and favored by Alvin C. York throughout the years following WWI. Mr. York was an avid hunter and spent many outings in the Fentress County hills of Tennessee hunting and trapping game on his farm and neighboring farms. Alvin was given the opportunity to star in the Hollywood movie as himself but declined because after all the fanfare, he just wanted to return to his home in the hills of Tennessee. I actually had the opportunity of meeting Mr. Alvin C. York as a young boy in 1956. That was truly an unforgettable experience even for a young man! You are looking at a one of a kind opportunity, from the estate of a one of a kind American Hero. To complete the transaction, we will need a copy of your FFL, or when appropriate C&R (this qualifies as a C&R) of your choice for shipping purposes. For payment we will accept personal checks, money orders, certified check or cashiers’ check, all major credit cards.  Credit cards are acceptable with a 4% up-charge for processing. Personal checks require 8 business days to clear the bank, all other forms of payment receive same day as received shipment. Shipping and insurance for the transaction is $250.00, or you may make arrangements to pick it up here in Cookeville Tennessee.  You are responsible for any state and local laws. By purchase of this item, you release the seller from any liability that may arise due to use or misuse of this firearm. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions give me a call or text 931-303-6739. Thank you for your time and attention to our products.
