Description:
SALE PENDING.  $595.00 or Best Offer Plus $20.00 for shipping.  BUYER MUST READ THIS ENTIRE LISTING TEXT BEFORE BUYING!  I have recently acquired a MAUSER Es350B single shot Cal. .22 Long Rifle, a complete rifle with original target rear sight in very good working order.  The rifle is not in "Collector" Grade condition as the rifle stock and metal parts have been refinished so that the rifle is only a "Shooter" Grade rifle.  The rifle stock has lost the Mauser wheel logo and has a newly installed reproduction plastic buttplate on it.  The  bolt has been blued and is currently listed on GunsInternational-see my other listings.  The  barrel and receiver are complete and in very good working order and with the original rifle stock will be listed in the near future.  The rifle is a four serial numbered matched rifle (#190661), all matching numbers on barrel, receiver, bolt and the target rear sight that is on this listing.  This rifle is not a "junker" rifle that is all beat up.  The rifle was well cared for by the previous owners, but, I already have a very nice Mauser Es350B rifle and I do not need another of the same model.  THIS LISTING IS ONLY FOR THE COMPLETE TARGET REAR SIGHT AND NOTHING ELSE.  I will not sell the complete rifle as the separate parts are worth much more as parts.  I am selling this target rear sight that fits the Mauser Es350B and also fits the Ms350B target rifles, which the rear sight slides along the top of the barrel grooves.  This sight may fit other rifles, but, I prefer that the buyer only buy this sight for the 2 models mentioned, as I know the sight fits them.    This finely made target rear sight is extremely rare and scarce today and are seldom offered for sale and when they are, they are very expensive!  My recent market research shows that these original Mauser sights are even hard to find in Europe, per Jon Speed, the author of the Mauser .22 book that is still considered to  be the top authority on these rifles!  This rare sight won't last long, so, if you need it, better buy it now or regret it for many years, as it has happened to me.  This sight is in very good working order and I have sprayed the exposed parts with Break Free.  I have tested the sight functions for windage and elevation as mounted on my Mauser Es350B (the rifle that I am selling as individual parts) by firing the rifle with live ammunition and the sight functions as it should.  This rare sight is really just for serious Mauser shooters and collectors who have the knowledge on how to correctly handle and adjust the sight without causing any damage.  The sight has the matching serial numbers as on the rifle, stamped in 3 places-see the photos. The only issue that I can see is that the "witness" line marks are missing on the top of the sight, probably, polished off when the gun was reblued years ago.  The buyer can easily rescribe the 2 lines or just use white paint with a toothpick or just use the sight without them, a very minor issue, but my photos could not show it.  The sight bar has 2 notches: a "U" and a "V" (the "V" is on the bottom currently).  I have never tried to change the setting as I do not want to risk damaging anything, but, the sight bar locking tab is in place with good spring action.  The internet instructions I got simply state that you very gently push the locking tab to the front of the rifle and hold it there, while you move the sight bar to the Left and pull out the sight bar and then you turn it to the sight notch that you want and again, very gently push the locking tab to the front of the rifle and hold it while reinserting the sight bar back into the sight housing and it is supposed to "snap" as it locks.  I'm told that some people have broken the locking tab off the sight bar and you can see some of these sights online where there is an empty hole instead of the protruding tab.  Please note that the buyer is liable for any damage done to the rifle sight  during the 3 day inspection period, so, I will let the buyer decide whether they really have the skill and knowledge to correctly change the sight notch without damaging the rifle sight.  Of course, if the buyer causes any damage to the rifle sight during the 3 day inspection period,  the refund will be denied.  Please also note that the 3 day inspection period does NOT ALLOW FOR ANY DISASSEMBLY OF THE RIFLE SIGHT and the refund will be denied if the sight is not in the exact same condition as I shipped it and if any parts have been "swapped", the refund will be denied as well.  Please read my listing text carefully and carefully review all of the photos.  The buyer should email me any questions or concerns before buying the rifle sight.  The sale and shipping of the rifle sight is only to the 50 US States only (no international sales or shipping).  The sight will be mailed via USPS Priority Mail, hard box, sight in tough plastic tub, plus extra foam, full insurance and due to the rarity and high value, the sight requires an Adult signature due to the increase of mail theft and "porch" pirates!  The only form of payment is money order, any type: (Walmart, grocery stores, Circle K, 7-11, banks, credit unions, Post Office, etc.).  RETURN POLICY:  3 day inspection and return, BUT, NO DISASSEMBLY and the sight must be returned to me in the exact same condition as I shipped it and of course, no part "swapping"!  The buyer must also return the sight by the same exact mailing service with the same options for full insurance, plastic tub, and signature required.  The buyer must also notify me of their intent to return the sight within in the 3 day inspection period.  Thank you for looking. SALE PENDING.
