Description:
According to Colt records these parts were from 1969 which was the first year of production for the Colt Lawman Mark III revolver production. Shown in the photos are an unfinished frame, crane, cylinder, and barrel that are in the white. Frame and crane are matched and both marked with the same serial number. Cylinder is unmarked and chamber is in .38 Special caliber not .357 as most Lawman revolvers we have seen. The 8 inch barrel is just a blank that is threaded and bored out but has not been rifled. Frame is unfinished requiring much more work before any internals could be fitted and so we consider this a non-firearm - actually just an accumulation of parts that someone removed from the factory. It may even have been a prototype, or perhaps even something removed from the pattern board. In any event a quite interesting grouping of items from the Colt factory. Parts are in the white with light surface rust but no real pitting and could easily be cleaned. No ffl required just proof of age and not live in a communist leaning city or state.
