On Hold Sale Pending US Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor 45-70 caliber. The full dark walnut stock is in very good condition showing normal dents and handling marks. The 29" barrel has front and rear sights and a good clean bore with good rifling. The serial number appears to be 1534. The functioning lock is Marked US Springfield with the American Eagle. The high arch breach block is tight and the ejector functions crisply. All metal parts are are a smooth blue brown. Overall a nice clean Springfield.
