What IS a 1911 A3 Combat NCO? It is the only fully patented pistol ever issued in the United States. The patents on it include: Patent on the entire pistol as a unit, then Front and rear sights, 2 Slide, 2 Frame, 2 patents on the barrel, 2 on the Link, the barrel bushing, 2 Nosepiece, slide stop, sear cam, hammer, grip safety, extractor, ejector, reverse plug, ambi safety and other small parts I may have missed....The barrel is five times stonger than any barrel made today. The warranty is lifetime. If military that is 100 years or 155,000 rounds no fault. What does "no fault" mean? It means if it wears out we replace it for free. If you crash in an aircraft and it is damaged we will repair it free. Do what you do and it remains in warranty.
The Combat NCO is the only pistol ever made in the USA that was made by the man who made, designed it, patented it, shot and holds world records with it to 1,000 yards with factory open sights. It is the only 1 minute accuate pistol at 100 yards today. The only handheld accurate pistol at 400 yards. The only pistol made of vaccum arc remelt steel in all its parts except barrel and springs. It is the only pistol made that all parts are totally interchangeable one gun to the other. The only pistol that in its manual suggests it can be cleaned it in sand. Now you know part of the differences in the A3 model over the A2 and original 4 patented Colt 1911 A1. The A2/A3 do not share the same firing mechanism of the standad Colt and clones. The A3 T-1 is a "Tactical Model One." That means it is a Plus P pistol and differs from the Lippard 1911 A2 which is a .45 acp. Many parts are beefed up. We have two consecutive serial number guns held at the factory for display. This is the first serial number of the two. Both are owned by the designer and so lettered.
