These grips may fit your Original REMINGTON 1861 often referred to as the 1858 Remington NEW MODEL. I believe they are for the Army or Navy revolver. Look at the grips laid out on 1/4 inch graph paper. They are nice walnut originals, the real deal, grips. A close look at the escutcheons will confirm that because they are not the same as the reproductions. They show almost no wear. They could easily give another century of service and likely have many tails to tell.
