Description:
22 inch round barrel chambered in the desirable 45-70 caliber with full length mag tube. Sights include a replacement white bead front sight and a flip up ladder rear sight. There are two holes drilled and tapped on the left side of the receiver. Barrel and mag retain a good amount of blue in the protected area between the two. The case hardened receiver has toned to a grey/brown color with traces of color around the saddle ring and hammer and lever. Bore is bright and shiny with good rifling. Crisp tight action. Wood has been lightly cleaned and has had some oil finish added. This 1886 Winchester is a fine example in a hard to find carbine and caliber made in 1898.
