Description:
Half length mag tube and Takedown frame with checkered pistolgrip walnut stocks and hard rubber buttplate. 24 inch Nickel Steel round barrel chambered in 45-70 Govt. caliber. Good bore with some scattered light pitting and good rifling. Lyman sights include a No. 4 ivory bead front and No. 6 combination rear with a No. 21 "Climbing Lyman" receiver sight. Most thinning barrel blue remains with a small spot of light pitting. Receiver retains about 80% blue turning plum/brown on the bottom at the carry point. Nice traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Checkered deluxe walnut buttstock and forend are in good condition with nice extra figure. There are 8 "Achievement" marks behind the grip cap. Hard rubber buttplate is in good condition. Crisp action. Handsome Dlx rifle from 1903.
