Presented here is an exceptionally clean Colt Police Positive Special revolver chambered in .32 Colt New Police caliber. Introduced in 1907, the Colt Police Positive Special is a small frame, double-action revolver with a six round cylinder, primarily chambered for .38 Special. The Police Positive Special was intended primarily for sale to law enforcement agencies and enjoys the distinction of being Colt’s most widely produced revolver design with over 750,000 built. This particular example was made in 1964, is chambered in .32 Colt New Police caliber and is very nice condition. The 4 inch barrel has a little wear at the muzzle and has a minty bore with strong rifling. The gun has light high edge wear and a couple of spots on the right side of the frame behind the cylinder. The action has very tight lock up in the "fired" position and virtually non-existent turn rings on the cylinder. The wood grip panels are exceptionally nice retaining very grippy and sharp checkering and very few marks. This fine Colt would make a great addition to an existing collection or a strong start to a new collection.
