SOLD This Winchester was produced in 1948. The rifle's serial number is 89254. It has the standard 24 inch round barrel chambered for the 22 Short Only. This rifle is not a gallery gun. This Winchester is as NEW without the box. This rifle also has the rare barrel lettering forward of the rear sight rather than the standard placement of behind the rear sight. The original bluing would rate 100% condition. The stock and forend are also in new condition. The action shows no sign of being pumped. The sights are original to this gun. These 22 Short's with the round barrel were only produced for a very short time. These round barrel 22 Short only are considered quite rare! This rifle is in stunning condition with traces of the original shipping grease.
