Description:
SOLD Up for sale is my Belgian Browing B.A.R Grade 2 manufactured in 1970 and chambered in the desirable .338 Win Mag! These rifles began production in 1967 and have a number of quality features. They were hand fit and hand finished at the factory, the walnut stocks are of very nice quality and hand checkered, they are also contrasted nicely by Browning's factory blued and tastefully hand engraved receiver. This specific rifle being a magnum caliber features a factory recoil pad and a Bear + Bighorn Sheep game bust engraved on either side of the receiver! The .338 caliber is one of the more scarce chamberings for this model, along with the .243 Winchester.
Condition is excellent, the original blue finish rates in the 95-96% range with only a few light marks on the receiver. The wood is also quite good, with almost no handling marks present, the only defect being that the original finish has crazed slightly which very common for these mid to late 1960s Brownings (approximately 96-97% wood condition). A very nice example in Near Mint condition!
