Description:
Winchester Model 1892 rifle in caliber 32 WCF aka 32-20. Standard configuration of 24" round barrel, full magazine, crescent butt with steel rifle butt plate, open sights, plain trigger, and plain walnut stocks. Uncommon feature is the "Mod. 1892" marking across the upper tang, found during a period when Winchester failed to have the model marking anywhere on the rifles & carbines and had to come up with a way to mark them for export. This rifle was made in 1909.

CONDITION:  Barrel and mag tube have 50% of their original finish that has turned plum with some light pitting at the ends on the exterior surfaces. Receiver retains about 20% original finish that also has turned plum. Original German silver blade front sight and sem-buckhorn rear sight with thumb print elevator are intact. Bore is fair, about a 6 of 10, rifling there but frosty with light scattered black powder oxidation. Smooth action with properly-working half cock safety. Very good fore arm wood with typical usage nicks and dings, no splits or cracks. Butt stock is also sound, with the exterior finish crazing/crackling. No extra holes anywhere. Representative piece that fills a niche in any Winchester collection considering the marking oddity.

TERMS: Shipping to the Continental US States will be a flat $40 with insurance included. We are registered with the CA DOJ and will ship to California! Should be checked by a competent gunsmith before firing.
No international sales and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii. Must ship to FFL or C&R license holder, assuming your local laws allow it (sales to New York State buyers will go to an FFL only, no exceptions). 3 day non-firing inspection period; buyer pays return shipping. Payment by bank check, money order or personal check; all major credit cards are accepted with a 4% convenience fee added. Ships by UPS Ground with tracking.
