SN: 570220. Rare General Officers Colt 1903 issued to Major General Frederic J. Hughes, Jr. October 13, 1965. The pistol is marked U.S. Property on the left side of the frame. Has 99% of its original parkerized finish. The bore is perfect. Overall excellent condition. Comes with leather Officers belt and holster with the United States Seal on the buckle. Also comes with a photo of Maj. General Hughes, Jr in uniform and a name placard that reads ""Frederick J. Hughes, Jr Brigadier General United States Army."" and a scan of his Obituary, which shows his updated rank. This pistol is listed in U.S. General Officer's Pistols-A Collectors Guide on page 150.
