COLT FRONTIER SCOUT ALAMO MODEL single action army in .22LR caliber, 6-shot revolver with gold plated parts, wooden display case with velvet lining and etchings depicting the fateful 13-day battle at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, March, 1836. This revolver commemorates that historic battle and pays tribute to the 200 men who perished including James Bowie, William B. Travis and Tennessee Congressman, David Crockett. The gun's function is perfect and the bore is bright and glossy, the barrel is 4 3/4", the cylinder has no cylinder line and the ivory-like grips are beautiful with Lone Star and Colt medallion. The bluing on the frame could be better but can easily be touched-up. (please see pictures for details). The serial number is 1279A22 and believed to have been made in 1966.
