Description:
The item for sale is a Marlin Model 93 Carbine chambered for the 32 special cartridge. Serial number records for the Marlin 93 are incomplete, however production changes help to identify the year of manufacture. The upper tang is stamped Model 93 which was introduced in 1905. The serial number is located on the lower tang which was introduced in 1921. The low four digit serial number suggest it was probably made in 1921. This carbine was manufactured prior to the bulls-eye on the stock. The carbine is in very good condition overall. The receiver still reveals the factory color case hardening although faded. The barrel and magazine tube retain much of the original factory blue showing some wear loss. The original butt plate retains much of the original blue. The bore is excellent and mechanically the action functions as intended. It cycles smoothly locking tightly. The wood is very good, only minor handling dings, with a proper fit to the receiver. The toe of the stock reveals removal of a sling stud which was executed very well. Overall a very nice and scarce Marlin carbine. Please include $45 to cover shipping and insurance. This will be shipped via USPS Registered Mail fully insured. A copy of an FFL or C&R is required prior to shipping.
