Description:
Special order rifle features a 30 inch half round #3 weight barrel chambered in 38-55 caliber with an excellent bright shiny bore. There is no rear sight seat on the barrel that is fitted with an adjustable disc globe front sight. Thinning barrel blue is toning to a brown patina. Case colored receiver retains a good amount of muted colors as well as does the hammer and lever with traces on the crescent style buttplate. There is a Lyman tang sight as well as a single set trigger that should make this rifle a decent target shooter. Straight grain walnut stocks are in good condition with 2 notches on the left rear of the forearm and a few minor abrasions on the buttstock. This is a nice looking early Winchester rifle made in 1886.
