VET'S FABRIQUE NATIONAL MDL. 1906 CAL..25 ACP, SER. 1002038. MFG. 1939. ACCORDING TO THE ESTATE THIS WAS A G.I.'S WWII BRING BACK. IT APPEARS TO BE REGULAR BROWNING PAT. F.N.1906. RECORDS INDICATE THAT THIS GUN WAS MADE JUST PRIOR TO W.W.II AND OBVIOUSLY SHIPPED TO THE FAMOUS GERMAN GUN RETAILER, "ALBERT KIND gmbh". THEIR TRADE MARK "AKAH" IS ENGRAVED ON THE FRONT GRIP STRAP. IT IS RUMORED THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN A NAZI OFFICER'S OR PARTY MEMBERS GUN. IT IS REPORTED 1000 OF THEM WERE SENT TO ITALY EARLY IN 1940 TO BE EXPORTED TO JAPAN FOR PURCHASE BY JAPANESE OFFICERS. THIS BEAUTY RETAINED ABOUT 98+% OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY BLUE. THE LITTLE LOSS THERE IS IS DUE TO SOME VERY SMALL SCATTERED PIN PRICKS AND SOME OF THE USUAL SHARP EDGE SILVERING, NOTHING ELSE.THE GRIP STRAPS SHOW NO SIGN OF GRAYING. ALL PARTS MATCH AND ORIGINAL TO THE GUN***. THE GRIP PANELS ARE PERFECT NOT A CHIP OR SPLIT ANYWHERE. THE SLIDE RAILS, FEED RAMP AND BOLT FACE SHOW LITTLE IF ANY USE. THE BORE IS MIRROR BRIGHT WITH RAZOR SHARP RIFLING. THIS SCARCE LITTLE BEAUTY WAS SHIPPED TO "AKAH" IN GERMANY JUST AS THE WAR WAS STARTING. ULTIMATELY IT ENDED HERE AS A VET'S WWII WAR TROPHY. IT CERTAINLY HAS EARNED IT'S PLACE IN A NICE MILITARY COLLECTION. VALUE PRICED AT....$529***
