Needing little introduction, the Browning A5 is one of the most iconic shotguns ever designed. With its signature humpback receiver design, the Browning Auto-5 is instantly recognizable and with more than 2.7 million made, it is a common sight both in the wild and the more manicured lawns of Skeet and Trap lines! These guns were made to be used and millions of hunters and sportsmen did just that, slinging billions of rounds of ammo at all kinds of targets and they're still going strong!
Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this Browning Auto 5, Sn H19498. Belgium made in 1954 prior to any Browning salt wood issues. Outwardly this shotgun is in excellent condition with 99% unblemished factory original bluing, perfect screws and hand cut checkering. Built in the much sought-after Long Tang Round Knob configuration, the stock is finished with a Browning horn buttplate, and the furniture shows some light handling marks. This A5 has a 27 ½” barrel choked Modified, with a great bore that shows a small area of frosting for a few inches near the muzzle, but no pits. The shotgun is priced accordingly. The gun has been shot sparingly, there is no handling wear at all on the bottom of the action and a bolt that shows lite use. The shotgun is complete with an original ‘Made in Belgium’ magazine plug. Overall, good honest Belgium Browning Auto 5 from a most desirable era of production. Thank you for looking.
