Description:
This gun appears new with a few light handling marks in the wood finish. It would not be unreasonable to conclude that it has benefitted from a DelGreco restoration, as the level of finish is that good. The chambers are 2-5/8". I shoot 2-1/2" shells in all my vintage guns including this one. The bores in the 28" barrels are mirror bright and both measure .730" 9 inches from the breech face and right up to the chokes. The right barrel has a .707" choke. The left barrel choke is .692" choke. I'd rate that IM and super full! The barrels are tight on face even with the fore end removed. Minimum wall thickness are R: .035 and L: .038, right behind the chokes. That's a pretty beefy barrel! The barrels ring like the proverbial bell! This is a 1-1/2 frame, which keeps the gun lighter at 7 lb, 2 oz. Stock dimensions are very modern 1-5/8" X 2" X 14-1/2" to a skeleton steel buttplate. I would not want to set that butt down in a muddy duck blind! Wood and metal finish, including color casehardening on the frame, are 100 percent.
