Description:
General Specs: Browning, Year 1981, 9mm, 33.6oz
Serial Number: 245PZ80071

The Browning Hi Power is a military icon. Since its introduction in 1935 it has built a remarkable reputation for function and longevity. It is one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries in conflicts from World War two to the present. It was one of the weapons used by both Axis and Allied forces during the 1939-1945 World War. Based on a design by John Moses Browning who began work on the gun in 1914, the design was finalized by FN Herstal designer Dieudonne Saive following Mr. Browning’s death in 1926. The Browning was famous for having a double stack magazine with a 13-round capacity, a significant advantage when most semi-automatic side arms of the period held seven or eight rounds. This gave the gun its name- High power- later to be shortened to Hi power. This example, serial number 245PZ80071 was manufactured in Belgium. It has factory original Browning Silver Chrome matte finish on slide, frame, and magazine. It is fitted with a Crimson Trace, grip activated laser- a $395 addition if you were to order a set today! The bore is in excellent condition, there are a few handling marks on the pistol. The pistol is fitted with Browning’s golden trigger which breaks crisply at 4.1lb. Browning FN has discontinued manufacture of the classic Hi Power so these models are getting harder and harder to find. There are copies but there is only one true Belgian made Browning Hi power. So don’t wait long to add it to your collection. The pistol ships with a ten-round magazine -magazines in larger capacities are readily available. Thank you for looking.
