This incredible Class A+ Factory Tom Freyburger Engraved Model 27-2 is accompanied by a host of documentation, including a factory letter and signed photos and letters from the engraver! The gun is equipped with a 6 1/2" barrel, original bright blue finish, full target accessories and Class A Plus factory engraving. This amazing special ordered .357 Magnum is 'Class A Plus' factory engraved denoting extra hours billed at a strong hourly rate. Knowledgeable collectors are aware of the extreme rarity of factory engraved examples that are ordered with extra hours of engraving given the prohibitive cost and lack of advertising in sales literature. Take particular note of the depth and detail of the engraving, especially when compared to a standard Class A Factory engraved Freyburger example. The gun is featured on page 216 of Michael J. Kennelly's fantastic reference 'Smith & Wesson Engraving' and is also formerly of his collection. This wonderful Model 27 is among Tom Freyburger's best works ever completed with profuse and deep floral scrollwork against a finely matted punchdot background.
