Among the last examples of Harry Jarvis' treasured work this Class B Factory Engraved Smith & Wesson Pre Model 27 has been in the same collection for the last 40+ years and is featured in Michael J. Kennelly's amazing reference book 'Smith & Wesson Engraving' on page 204. This special and extremely rare Class B Factory Engraved example is fully equipped with an 8 3/8" barrel, original bright blue finish, red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight, target hammer, target trigger and smooth non-relieved rosewood presentation target stocks. A factory letter confirms the configuration and details its original shipment on March 7, 1955 to the H.H. Harris Company in Chicago, Illinois. The fine flowing floral scrollwork jumps out over mixture of punchdot and delicate crosshatch shading; a unique example of Jarvis' last factory engraving work. The gun remains in virtually AS-NEW condition retaining 99%+ of the original bright blue finish. Overall a top shelf and investment grade factory engraved Smith & Wesson Pre Model 27 that will be a centerpiece in any collection!
