This magnificent and highly unique Harry Jarvis Factory Class A Engraved Smith & Wesson Pre Model 27 has been in one collection since the early 1980's and is only now coming to the market for the first time in over forty years! The gun is published in Michael J. Kennelly's 'Smith & Wesson Engraving' on pages 202-203. Included is a factory letter confirming the configuration and detailing its original shipment on April 21, 1954 to Rex Firearms in New York, New with a 6 1/2" barrel, special red post front sight, target hammer, deluxe checkered rosewood diamond target stocks and Class A factory engraving. A truly special and heirloom grade N-frame that comes in a french fitted Moroccan leather Marvin Huey custom handmade pistol case complete with tools and key. The gun rates 99%+ on any scale and features an unusual and highly detailed engraving pattern with tight and delicate floral vine-work climbing against a fine punchdot background. Note the surprising amount of embellishment especially in the protected areas and on the special ordered front sight. Positively the finest Harry Jarvis Factory Engraved Pre Model 27 to be found!
