Description:
Scarce gun in fine original condition. Made with 28" fluid steel barrels with matted top rib. Slim splinter forend with checkered release and is checkered in point pattern. The casehardened Boxlock action is beautifully engraved with deer on right, bear on left all surrounded by nice scroll engraving. Trigger guard with original blue and geese in game scene engraved. Capped pistol grip stock which is nicely figured and terminates with the original Wheeling, WV Three Barrel Gun Co. branded buttplate.
Overall, the gun remains in excellent original condition. Barrels retain about 95% original blue. Top rib with a several screw holes that have been nicely filled at breech ends and ribs are still nice and sound. Bores are bright and shiny. Action retains more than 70% bold original case color. Stocks are sound and retain most all of their original finish with scattered handling marks. Gun is nice and tight and mechanics work well.
