About Us: Hallowell & Co. incorporated as a full-time, federally-licensed firearms business in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1983. In 1999, we sold our Greenwich building to Griffin & Howe and moved to Livingston, Montana. Our primary interests lie in high quality, artisanal sporting guns in fine original condition---single shot rifles, custom rifles, double shotguns and double rifles by the best makers, from the beginning of the cartridge era to the present. We look forward to being of service.

Description:
26" SxS fluid-steel barrels with solid flat matted rib, 1 standing and 2 folding platinum-lined express sights engraved for 100, 200 & 300 yards, sling eye, and doll's head extension. 14 3/8" pull from front trigger to Silvers red rubber recoil pad.

English walnut stocks with lever-release splinter forend, bakelite pistol grip cap, classic point-pattern checkering, beaded pancake cheekpiece, sling eye, and vacant initial oval.

Border-engraved, casehardened receiver and sidelocks, with Jones underlever, rebounding locks and no separate safety catch. Weight: 14lbs, 5oz. London black powder proved.

Tight and with excellent bores. In period trunk case with brass corners, maker's label and innumerable loading accessories. Retaining nearly all of a properly-done refinish. And, with a greater quantity of both lead balls and conical bullets than I look forward to paying to ship.

The load data that the former owner worked up with Cal Pappas,  author of The Double Rifle Primer, The British Bore Rifle, and The .600 Nitro Express, is as follows:

Reloading data with a 700-grain ball:
70 grains of Blue Dot or 220 grains FFFg (3F) black powder. Both loads will give 1550 to 1600fps.
Easiest way to reload is to buy a single stage MEC 10-gauge press with a short kit for 2 7/8” cases.
You can deprime, prime, add powder, set the over powder wad to the correct pressure.
Then add spacer wads by hand and place your projectile in the case
Crimp with Buckstix tool
For spacer wads, punch 3/4” diameter felt wads from carpet backing felt in any flooring store
Or use Remington SP-10 shotshell wads and trim off the shot cup petals
