***SOLD*** Another fantastic, unmolested Pre War 70 in universally favorite 30-06. S/N 28*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1940. The bluing is superb showing 98% over most, with just a bit of typical flaking on the trigger guard. The floorplate is particularly nice for this era rifle with its pre war proof mark and absolutely the original blue. Early frost blued extractor. The wood is also fine with original lacquer showing some scattered dents/impressions, but nothing too distracting, and NO cracks, gouges or discoloration anywhere. The top of rear receiver bridge remains undrilled making this rifle increasingly scarce and highly collectible. The bore and mechanics are superb and crisp as usual. Just another really great Pre War Model 70 you will seldom find anywhere else. Expedited and fully insured shipping from Alaska to your FFL is an additional $75.
