Springfield Model 1873 45-70. The action on this rifle is in nearly new as restored condition with perfect markings and case color, fire blue is near perfect, both stages of the lock are crisp and the trigger is very good with a clean break, the rear peep sight, buttplate, and trigger guard all show case color in as new condition, the rear sight is adjustable and holds it's place well, screws are all clean, all work is of the highest quality. The barrel is 29", round, marked 45-70, of modern manufacture with a perfect bore and chamber, custom hooded front sight with post, barrel blue is perfect. The stock is a custom sporting style take on an early sporter, modern dimensions, length of pull is 13 1/2" to a U.S. marked original butt plate, the wood is American walnut with great figure, chequering and finish are perfect, ebony fore end tip, the inletting is extremely well done and this rifle is high quality throughout. 9lbs 9oz 0258221 $3500.00
