Description:
Remington Model 12-C pump action rifle, shoots 22 caliber rimfire short, long and long rifle cartridges, 24" octagon barrel, open sights, plain walnut stocks, half-pistol-grip, crescent butt, steel butt plate with logo, ribbed fore arm, tubular magazine, push button safety, take down frame, blued finish.
CONDITION: Barrel retains 50% bright original blue with the balance drifting to patina. Mag tube about 30% same and receiver about 15% same. Stocks show typical nicks, dings and scratches but no splits or cracks. Fore arm has most of the original varnish. Butt stock has a neatly filled hole on top of the wrist, and the upper tang is missing the plug screws, so I'm guessing some one had a peep sight on it at one time. Take down is tight with no wobble. Bore is very good, an 8 of 10. Serial number matches on the barrel assembly and on the inside frame. Original sights are intact and all markings are crisp. Action is smooth and properly functioning, as is the push button safety. These were manufactured from 1909 to 1938. A very good Remington 22 rifle to add to your collection.
