Description:
Springfield M1 Garand, chambered in .30-06. This M1 Garand left the Springfield factory in April 1944 as indicated by the serial number on the receiver. After the war it was put in storage until April 1965 when it was refurbished at the Letterkenny factory. It was there that they used an electric pencil on the inside of the receiver to mark LEAD 04-65. Later on it was sold through the CMP program. On the underside of the stock, near the pistol grip, you can see the P proof mark easily. Stock is in excellent shape as is the barrel. Bore is shiny and beautiful. Muzzle and throat rating are both a 1. .30-06 Springfield
