Description: **** SALE PENDING PAT IN NEW YORK **** Winchester Model 1873 rifle in caliber 32 WCF aka 32-20. Provided Cody email sheet lists this rifle as having a checkered stock, pistol grip, single set trigger, and case hardened frame as the special order features. Standard features are the 24" full octagon barrel, full magazine, crescent butt with steel butt plate (no trap door, which is correct for the 32 caliber), and open sights. CONDITION: Typical of guns that spent time in humid areas, all the metal surfaces have turned a dark chocolate color. The lower tang is the only area of the frame that shows traces of the original case hardening. That being said, the coverage of all metal is about 60% original finish. Original deluxe stocks would grade XX, exhibit typical usage marks expected of a firearm of this vintage, with the factory checkering all there but worn. Stocks have never been cleaned/sanded/refinished and do not have any splits, cracks or extra holes. A few small bruises appear on the fore arm and barrel near the breech but don't seem to be vise or clamp marks. Bore is very good, semi-bright with distinct yet worn rifling. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Action functions properly, including the set trigger and half cock safety. Dust cover is tight with minimal side-to-side play. Original rear sight with elevator is intact, as well as a special order Lyman #4 Hunting Front sight that is not mentioned in the records but looks as if it's been there from day one. Overall grades NRA Antique Very Good. A nice "entry level" deluxe 1873 that should shoot well while increasing in value over time. TERMS: Shipping to the Continental US States will be a flat $60 with insurance included. We are registered with the CA DOJ and will ship to California! No international sales, and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii. Antique so it can ship directly to you assuming your local laws allow it - sales to the 5 boroughs of NY City require an FFL only, NO EXCEPTIONS. 3 day non-firing inspection period; buyer pays return shipping.
