Description:
This is a nice example of a Walther PP issued to the SS in 1940. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" firing proofs. It is in the correct serial range for an SS-contract gun and comes with one original matching-numbered finger extension magazine. This particular magazine is unique because it has a factory over-stamp on the caliber legend. It was originally labeled 9mm and was changed to 7.65mm. The gun itself has lost most of its original bluing with only roughly 15% remaining. There is spotty brown patina on the back strap and areas of tiny pin-pricking along the whole slide. Comes with excellent period-correct grips. The bore is near-mint
