Some firearms are acquired through word of mouth estate sales. I evaluate the condition based on a disassembly and cleaning, looking for obvious flaws and wear on crucial parts. I will occasionally dry fire a weapon with snap caps to check the action, trigger pull, and reset. No live firing, unless it is one of my own. I price my listings as appropriate for its condition.
