Description:
Gun is absolutely extraordinary! Pirmet was active late 18th century early 19th century and the gun maker to Girolamo Buonaparte who was Napoleon's younger brother. There is an elaborately carved silver bore head at the front of the forearm. The barrels have gold scroll patterns at the muzzles, a gold pattern around the blade front sight, "PIRMET A PARIS" in gold on the top of the rib surrounded by gold floral and scroll patterns, "crown/FR" stamps on top at the breech, and silver ramrod pipes on the bottom of the rib. Pans are gold lined. The silver trigger guard has a bowl of fruit and flowers in front and a horned figure at the bottom of the guard. The semi-pistol grip wrist is carved with a dragon's head and scales. Butt plate is silver. This is a delicately done shotgun that you have to see to appreciate.
