Up for sale is a Colt Model 1911 US Army Issued 1914. Has 1914 SN date, however the slide portion is possibly early 1940‚‚s, the stamp from Augusta Arsenal is a give away that this handgun may have been repurposed/modified by the U.S. Army in the beginning of WW2. The handle grip has the inspector Walter G. Penfield stamp on it, another major marking on left side of fire arm ,to the right of trigger, is the flamingo bomb on right side of pat numbers. On the right side of United States Property is stamped two A‚‚s, this stands for the \"Augusta Arsenal.
