Remington Model 81 with Kreiger Conversion & quite rare Griffon & Howe dual lever quick release scope mounts. Scope is J. Unertl-Hawk 4X with fine cross hairs. Rifle is conservatively 95% both wood and metal surfaces. All metal surfaces retain their original factory blue. The Kreiger magazine has been reblued at some time. 100% matching serial numbers throughout! Scope is very good condition and appears working properly. The Kreiger Conversion works flawlessy as does mechanical function. Bore is mirror shiny with sharp lands & grooves. Rifle has been test fired and all functions perfectly. Serial number 53156, Date Code LWW: February, 1950.  Stocks have correct Remington 1" sling swivels correctly installed and rifle comes with NOS Hunter Co. 1" wide leather sling & NOS vintage Herter's 300 Savage complete die set with original box/envelope with hex key!   Also two boxes of NOS Herter's 300 Savage brasses!
