Description:
There were only 6,612 of the Model 1876 rifles chambered in 40-60 caliber with a 28 inch octagon barrel. Full length mag tube. Gold gilded Beachs front sight and "1876" marked folding ladder rear sight missing the slider. Wood shows a few handling mars and dings but no splits or cracks. Most original varnish remains. Rifle style buttplate. Mechanics are excellent with crisp and tight action and the correct dust cover. Bright shiny bore. Receiver retains about 75% original blue as does the barrel. Mag tube has about half the blue remaining. Good case color on the hammer and lever.
